The Arknights Thank You Celebration 2022 is coming soon. Here’s everything you need to know about this promotional event.

Arknights, one of the most beloved gacha games of recent years, will have a gigantic event slated at the end of April 2022. Arknights Global will have the Thank You Celebration 2022, an event featuring a rarely-occurring Limited Banner, along with a long list of rewards, challenges, updates, and other content to push the game further.

The event’s biggest highlight is the introduction of Nearl the Radiant Knight, and her event campaign which is time-limited. For most players, the significance of this event lies in the freebies that can be obtained, which include up to 50 free Headhunts, free skins and welfare operators, and numerous Orundum and Originite Primes.

In this article, we will be listing down the important things to take note of, if you’re planning to foray into this massive event.

Near Light Open

Near Light Open is the main event campaign taking place during the celebration. It’s a lore-packed series of story maps that players can complete. There will be three stages for the whole campaign, with each one unlocking at different dates. There will be a lot of events to clear, so try not to cram everything on the last day! Completing each map rewards you with an Originite Prime, which is essential for buying operator outfits, and other uses.

During the celebration, a limited banner will appear, where players can try to pull for Nearl the Radiant Knight (6*) and Flametail (6*).

Nearl The Radiant Knight is a limited 6-star Guard operator, and is probably the strongest one from the Dreadnought class (Standard 1-block, ex. Skadi). Despite her middling defense and 1-block stat, her second and third abilities provide a powerful niche that only very few meta operators can replace. To keep things short, Nearl is not OP to the point where she’s a must pull, but she’s still extremely good to have

Flametail is a 6-star Pioneer Vanguard (2-block, ex. Siege, Texas), who excels at dodging enemy attacks, at the cost of having a bit less DP generation than the other vanguards of the same archetype. Her third ability provides one of the highest dodge stat of any operator in the game, apart from massively increasing her attack speed, damage, and block. The skill has a low cooldown and great uptime, making her one of the best vanguards to deal with multiple early threats that other vanguards can’t handle. Flametail still won’t be able to topple the meta of Bagpipe + Flag Bearer combo, but she still gets used in hardcore content that makes use of her obscene dodge stat. Extremely good to have

Apart from the event stages and the limited banner, Near Light Open also contains two mission sets that players can clear for numerous rewards. The most notable reward is the free 4-star Vanguard, Wild Mane. She is a decent Charger Vanguard (1-block, DP on kill) that performs well without heavy investment, but is easily powercrept by more meta operators. If you’re new to the game, getting her is a very good idea to jumpstart your early progression.

More Rewards and Free Headhunts

One of the biggest reasons why players still come back to play Arknights is to take part in these kinds of celebrations. This includes a whole truckload of rewards and free pulls, as well as many upgrade materials that can save players a lot of days of grinding.

At the start of the event, each player will receive a free 10-pack Headhunting ticket. Once every day, you also get a free single pull on the banner, which resets daily.

Another feature added to the event is the Provisional Mining Permit, also known as the Orundum gacha. Once a day, players can gamble their daily chance to obtain a random amount of Orundum between 400 to 1000. There is a pity system that provides increased rewards after a streak of bad days, which is a huge improvement over the previous versions of this gacha.

Overall, players will be able to obtain around 50 headhunts when converted, which is very generous for something that happens biannually.

There is also a daily login reward set, which notably rewards players with the Justice Knight robot operator on the 2nd day, and a wonderful Myrtle outfit on the 9th, among other rewards.

New Outfits and Multiple Outfit Reruns

A new set of outfits will be released during the celebration, specifically ones for Pallas, Rosa, and Andreana. The outfits are part of the EPOQUE series, known for its grandiose and elegant designs. Pallas’s and Rosa’s outfits each cost 18 Originite Prime, and features new sprites, animations, and particle effects. Andreana’s outfit costs 15 Originite Prime, and features the same changes except for particle effects.

A number of older outfit sets will also be on sale for the duration of the event, and are considered reruns. These include the previous EPOQUE series featuring W, Texas, and Dobermann.

Much older outfit sets are also being brought back, and there will be 15 of them on sale during the event. This includes a Coral Coast set featuring Shining, Sora, Ifrit, Skyfire, Gummy, and Vigna; a Vitafield set featuring Exusiai, Cliffheart, Cuora; a Pioneer Set including Silence, Meteorite, and Jessica; and a Cambrian set featuring Specter, Courier, and Texas.

More Updates and Content

There is also a multitude of updates the game will receive, including an update to the Red Certificate shop, new Operator Records and Modules, a new Annihilation mission, and more operators in the Recruitment pool.

More collectibles are also added in the next update, especially the new Kazimierz medal set based on the event campaign. There are unique furniture pieces found among the event mission rewards, along with new purchasable furniture sets from the store.

For the spending player base, the usual celebration packages are back on sale, including the one with a 6-star operator picker, which is absolutely essential for those who still need that one operator they haven’t gotten since forever.
