One gamer decides to make a montage showcasing their many mishaps and connection issues while playing multiplayer matches in Halo Infinite.

It would probably be an understatement to say that Halo Infinite has had a rough go of things over the past couple of months. While the first-person shooter enjoyed the biggest launch in the history of the Halo franchise, the popularity of the game has begun to wane. Recently, the player counts on its various platforms have diminished, while its viewership on Twitch has seen a similar downward trend. Even though there are several reasons for this decline, one of the most significant factors likely pertains to connection issues.

While many gamers have praised the core gunplay of the latest installment in the Halo series, connection issues have prevented many from playing the game in the way the developers at 343 Industries have intended for it to be played. Since its launch, desync problems have caused issues with melee and bullet registration, along with causing some players to teleport randomly. Recently, one gamer posted a video that attempted to show just how bad the problems were with the first-person shooter.

In a post on Reddit, a user known as GallopingGepard shared a video showcasing their experience with Halo Infinite over the last couple of months. In the clip, the player decided to make a parody of one of the previous trailers released for the game. While the tone of the video was initially serious, it soon turned comical as it revealed the player dying multiple times in humorous and unfortunate ways to desync in Halo Infinite. In addition, the end of the video showed the player being unable to connect to online matchmaking, a common issue for some. The video even included a spoof on the Halo theme music for comedic effect.

Since posting this hilarious montage on Reddit, numerous members of the Halo Infinite community have taken notice. With over 5,700 upvotes in only a day, many players weighed in on the highlight reel shared by GallopingGepard. Among the comments, some fans agreed that issues with melee registration in Halo Infinite were a problem. “When your Melee misses from close range, but the other guy hits you from a car's length away,” one gamer said on Reddit. In addition, many thought that the Halo theme music being played on Kazoos made the video even better.

While this montage posted by GallopingGepard showcased many of the connection problems plaguing the game, many more gamers have shared similar clips as well. For example, another player recently captured a video of a rocket launcher failing to kill an enemy in Halo Infinite because of desync issues. Until 343 Industries manages to fix these problems with multiplayer matches, it seems only a matter of time before even more clips from frustrated players are shared with the community.

Halo Infinite is available on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
