What is Zero Point Dashing in Fortnite?

"Zero Point Dashing" is when players consume a pink Crystal Shard (located in the center of the Fortnite map). But why is it being talked about now?

This week, players must complete a quest if they want their battle pass to level up and their experience points to increase. Or to be more concise, in other for them to receive the rewards, they must complete all of the Weekly Challenges that the game states. One of these challenges, a Legendary one, states that players must hit an opponent within ten seconds of "Zero Point Dashing."

Fortnite does not explain in thorough details what "Zero Point Dashing" is exactly, but players have figured out a way to dash after consuming Crystals. First, players will have to go to the center of the Fortnite map and reach the Zero Point. There, they will find multiple pink crystals. Building a cone of any kind will shatter the crystals, and this is where players will have to act fast.

They will have to consume the pink Crystal Shards, then jump and perform the jump action again quickly. Some YouTubers have used their platforms to explain not only how to perform this, but also how to complete the challenge where they have to deal damage. Allegedly, fishing is a way to deal damage, since the chances of running into players while completing this challenge are not high.

Legendary challenges are expected to be difficult, and this one is no different. But hopefully, through tutorials and other resources, even amateur players can learn how to pull off "Zero Point Dashing."
