V-Bucks are the in-game currency Fortnite players buy with real money and use to purchase Item Shop cosmetics. But one of the things that new players to the game often ask is, can you gift V-Bucks in Fortnite? Here’s the answer to that.
Fortnite is one of the highest-grossing games in the battle royale genre at present. The developers make a fortune from sales of its in-game currency called V-Bucks.
V-Bucks in Fortnite have been around since Chapter 1 when players had to buy them from the shop or Epic Games Store to get in-game cosmetics. Furthermore, there are various ways you can get these V-Bucks to buy your favorite cosmetic items.
However, a question that has often come up in conversations with newer players is if you can gift these V-Bucks or not. Here’s the answer to that.
Can you gift V-Bucks in Fortnite?
No, you cannot gift V-Bucks in Fortnite to another player. Epic only allows the sale of V-Bucks through several channels where you can purchase the in-game currency.
Moreover, Epic has also introduced V-Bucks cards that players can purchase from a local retailer near them who sells them or from big box stores like Walmart, Target, etc. These cards contain a redeemable code that players can redeem on Epic’s official site.

Another way you can get V-Bucks is from the in-game shop under the V-Bucks tab. The quantity and the price of V-Bucks that you will be able to see in the game right now are listed below:
- 1000 V-Bucks – $7.99
- 2800 V-Bucks – $19.99
- 5000 V-Bucks – $31.99
- 13500 V-Bucks – $79.99
If you still wish to gift a friend something in Fortnite, you can still gift them in-game cosmetics from the Item Shop using the gifting menu. Make sure you have the required V-Bucks in your account to make the purchase or gift the cosmetic item you desire to.

Insufficient V-Bucks will redirect you to the V-Bucks tab where it’ll ask you to purchase V-Bucks according to your convenience. Although, you can also get V-Bucks from the Battle Pass, Fortnite Crew, and as bonus rewards from several cosmetic packs in the item shop.
Epic highly encourages players to buy V-Bucks from its official store. Purchasing V-Bucks from a third-party seller or an unauthorized dealer can result in a ban or a revoke of the amount from your account.

Fortnite’s Shadow of Phantasm Week is now live, and here’s how you can complete the new Quest that requires you to remain shrouded from a Shadow Bomb.
The v21.50 update brought significant changes to Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 3, as the Suppressed SMG, Suppressed AR, Shadow Bomb, and Shield Bubble have all been unvaulted for the Shadow of Phantasm Week.
This week, you have brand-new Quests to tackle if you’re looking for an XP boost, and we’ll go over how you can complete the Phantasm Week Quest to remain shrouded from a Shadow Bomb.
Where to find Shadow Bombs in Fortnite Phantasm Week
Shadow Bombs aren’t difficult to find as they can be acquired from chests and supply drops. You can also find one as ground loot when exploring the island during Fortnite Phantasm Week.
Using this throwable item will turn you into a “shadow”, making you a harder target to find. You can also stand beside walls and press the jump button twice to wall-jump. While you’re shrouded, you won’t be able to interact with items, use a harvesting tool, or fire weapons.
How to remain shrouded from a Shadow Bomb in Fortnite Phantasm Week Quest
For this Fortnite Phantasm Week Quest, you’ll need to remain shrouded from a single Shadow Bomb for 10 seconds. This seems tricky but you can easily get it done after heading to a steep cliff.
Here’s what you need to do:
- Find a steep cliff face
- Activate the Shadow Bomb
- Continuously jump off the cliff face without touching the ground
This will ensure that the Shadow Bomb remains active until you touch the ground, so keep doing this until at least 10 seconds have passed. Once this is done, the Quest will be marked as complete and you’ll earn 12,000 XP.

In celebration of pride month and the LGBTQ+ community, Fortnite players can enjoy the Rainbow Royale event, which offers new cosmetics such as Sprays, Wraps, and Emotes.
As well as this, Fortnite have dropped the DC Universe Dreamer Fortnite skin, which also celebrates pride month as the superhero is actually the first transgender superhero on television.

How to participate in the Fortnite Dreamer Cup
According to the Epic Games Blog, “Players must have 2FA enabled and verified on their Epic account to participate, as well as be at account level 50 or above.”
The Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 Dreamer Cup is a competitive Zero Build Squads tournament that can be accessed in-game. The tournament lasts three hours and those who compete will all receive the Dreamer Fortnite skin.
The Dreamer skin is worth $20 USD, which is a pretty good reward for just competing in a competitive Fortnite tournament.

Fortnite’s Rainbow Royle event has returned in 2022, and fans of the battle royale title can get their hands on some special cosmetic items, including a weapon wrap, sprays, and emote, to support the game’s LGBTQIA+ community.
Fortnite’s 21.50 update dropped on August 30, bringing back fan-favorite weapons in the Shadow of Phantasm Week as well as featuring Late Game Arenas once again. That’s not all though.
Players who drop onto the island may notice that a giant rainbow is stretching across the map, and may also notice that the artists on the in-game radio stations have changed.
That’s because Epic Games are celebrating the game’s LGBTQIA+ community with the special Rainbow Royale event again in 2022, offering free cosmetics, updated radio tracks, and a unique Battle Pass for the event.
Here’s how you can get your hands on a free weapon skin, emote, and four sprays with the return of Rainbow Royale.
How to claim free Rainbow Royale Fortnite cosmetics
All that Fortnite players need to do is head to the in-game Item Shop, look for the Rainbow Royale section, and claim the items. The cosmetics are all free, so you won’t need to have any V-Bucks in your account to acquire them.
Plus, if you missed out on all of 2021 cosmetics, they have also returned to the Item Shop completely for free.
You’ll be able to pick up the Rainbow Royale cosmetics from August 31 at 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET / 1 AM BST (September 1), but there’s no word on how long they’ll last yet.
