Things have changed quite a bit in Season 10 of Fortnite: Battle Royale. For one thing, we now have weekly challenges for Battle Pass holders that are themed mission bundles, while all players have weekly limited-time missions that expire each week and have their own set of rewards. Gone are daily missions. In their place is something admittedly much more interesting.
Unlike the Battle Pass challenges, these free limited time challenges release one per day instead of being unlocked as you solve them. Completing three will get you the week's loading screen which always contains a clue to a free, hidden Battle Star.

This week's limited time challenges are called 'The Leftovers' which may or may not be a reference to the HBO show. Week 1 was called BRUTE Squad which I'm 100% sure was a nod to The Princess Bride. While only of these challenges is unlocked, dataminers have leaked the entire suite of seven challenges.
Here's what to expect:
- Deal damage with Explosive weapons to opponents (250)
- Shotgun Eliminations (5)
- Eliminate member of the Horde at Retail Row (20)
- Outlast opponents in Duos or Squads mode (150)
- Use a throwable item in different matches (3)
- Visit Paradise Palms and Lucky Landing in the same match (2)
- Search Chests at Salty Springs or Frosty Flights (7)
And here are the rewards for solving them:
- 1 objective completed – 10 Battle Stars
- 2 objectives completed – 500 XP
- 3 objectives completed – The Leftovers Loading Screen
- 4 objectives completed – 10 Battle Stars
- 5 objectives completed – 1,000 XP
- 6 objectives completed – 10 Battle Stars
- 7 (All) objectives completed – 2,000 XP
The loading screen in question is the picture at the top of this post. It's a pretty cool one, so definitely try to wrap up at least three of these challenges before they go away next week. (I managed to finish up the entire set of Week 2's limited time challenges yesterday in one sitting, and these aren't any more difficult).
In any case, none of them require any explanation. Go forth and fight, young padawans. Go forth and conquer.
