The Fortnite No Sweat Summer event brought us a new interesting quest. Thou shalt fire a Fireworks Flare Gun at the Mighty Monument or Tilted Towers. We'll show you how the item works and where to find it.
Fortnite is currently on summer break, but that doesn't mean there's nothing to do in the game. As the No Sweat Summer Event continues, Epic is constantly adding new quests, map changes, and items to keep players busy.
And now a very special item came back into play that lights up the sky: the firework flare gun.
You need them for the summer event quest "Fire a Fireworks Flare Gun at the Mighty Monument or Tilted Towers"
How To Use The Firework Flare Gun In Fortnite
If you haven't had the pleasure of playing with or against this OP item, then we'd be happy to explain what the Flare Gun can do.
It launches a projectile into the air that, if left airborne long enough, marks all enemies within a 50m radius for 60 seconds. It can also mark opponents in hideouts. That's what makes this item so overpowered. If players are tagged, you can even see them through walls. So you basically have a wallhack. And it gets even better.
The flare gun's projectile deals explosive damage to all nearby players on impact. If the pistol is fired at a wooden structure, it will set it on fire and the fire will spread.

When all 6 charges of the weapon are used, the item will disappear from your inventory. Unlike a harpoon, for example, the pistol must be reloaded between shots.
The only difference from the regular Flare Gun is that, as the name suggests, the Firework Flare Gun shoots fireworks into the air. It doesn't have any additional features, but at least it's nice to look at.
Where To Find The Flare Gun
The Firework Flare Gun is currently part of the normal loot pool. This means players can find them anywhere rarer loot can be found. Basically it can be anywhere, in boxes, on the ground, or in loot drops. The quickest way to find something is to search in large POIs like Tilted Towers, Rave Cave, Sleepy Sound or Daily Bugle. In all of these locations, you have a wide variety of loot to choose from.
If you find a Firework Flare Gun at Tilted, you can also complete a summer quest right away just by firing it at the POI. Alternatively, the mighty monument can be found on the island to the east of Sanctuary.
