The Pokemon Go Battle League Season 13: Mythical Wishes has begun, with a new weekly schedule of leagues and cups, as well as some great rewards and themed Battle Days to enjoy.
While catching ’em all is the name of the game in Pokemon Go, Trainers looking to test their might against others will want to head to the Go Battle League, which is now entering its 13th season dubbed Mythical Wishes.
The biggest change this season is that the Classic Cup format will no longer be available. Niantic explained that this is because “Candy XL has continued to become more accessible” to players.

Pokemon Go Battle League Season 13 start & end dates
Season 13 of the Go Battle League starts on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at 1PM PT / 4PM ET / 9PM GMT / 10PM CEST and ends on Wednesday, March 1, 2023.
Niantic revealed in a blog post that there are several move changes this season as well as loads of new cups to take part in, which we’ll detail below.
Pokemon Go Battle League Season 13 schedule
As well as the traditional trio of Great, Ultra, and Master Leagues, there will be loads of special cups this season including the Psychic Cup and the Weather Cup.

- December 1 – December 8: Great League & Great League Remix
- December 8 – December 15: Great League & Fighting Cup: Great League Edition Remix
- December 15 – December 22: Ultra League & Ultra Premier Classic
- December 22 – December 29: Ultra League & Holiday Cup: Great League Edition
- December 29 – January 5: Master League & Holiday Cup: Ultra League Edition

Pokemon Go Battle League Season 13 rewards
There are loads of rewards to earn as you rise through the Go Battle League, from Pokemon encounters to avatar items, and even Elite TMs for the most dedicated Trainers.

Go Battle League Season 13 Battle Events schedule
There will be two Battle Day events taking place during Season 13 of the Go Battle League:

During both of these Battle Day events, the maximum number of sets you can play per day will be raised from five to 20 for a total of 100 battles. You’ll also be able to claim 4× Stardust from win rewards.
For the Mythical Wishes Battle Weekend, the active leagues will be the Great League, Ultra League, and Master League. You’ll be able to unlock Steven Stone-inspired Rings, Rare Candy, XP, and an Elite Charged TM by completing Timed Research.
For the Vulpix Battle Day, the active leagues will be the Ultra League and the Love Cup. Vulpix will be a guaranteed reward from 11AM to 2PM, Shiny Vulpix will be more common, and any Ninetales you evolve will know the Fast Attack Ember.
