Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2; What To Expect

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2; What To Expect

The end of Season 1 of Fortnite Chapter 3 is fast approaching. With the action-packed Season 1 of Fortnite’s latest chapter about to end on March 19th, it’s time to look ahead to what we can hope to see in Chapter 2. In addition, there are plenty of things to catch up on before the current season wraps up. In this guide to Fortnite Season 3, Chapter 2, I’ll be taking a look at all the latest buzz from the Fortnite community about what we could see happen in the coming season.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 Is Coming Soon

Season 1 has given Fortnite players plenty of new content to contend with. Since it dropped back on 5th December 2021, Season 1 has been jam-packed with new zones, characters, gameplay mechanics and weapons on the Flipped version of the most famous Battle Royale island in the world. Some of the most notable skins from Season 1 have included Uncharted’s Nathan Drake, Chloe Frazer and of course, Spider-Man.

Season 1 of Chapter 3 brought us sliding, Spider-Man and a whole load of storylines. What will Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 bring?

In addition, this season was the first time that players could earn Battle Pass XP outside of the standard Battle Royale modes. This was a nice touch for fans of creative and certain community-content based game modes. Season 1 has also given players some excitingly themed Wild Weeks, such as the most recent Avian Ambush event, where chickens are taking over the island after getting sick of being at the bottom of the pecking order. It’s fair to say that the first season of Chapter 3 has been crammed with creativity.

However all good things must come to an end, and as always at the end of a Fortnite chapter, comes a pretty comprehensive to-do list, if you haven’t managed to finish off all the quest content and Battle Pass challenges yet. You won’t have long to get things finished off either, as Fortnite Season 3 Chapter 2 is likely to kick off on or around March 20th, 2022. Let’s take a look at some of the things you’ll need to complete before March 19th in order to bag yourself some of the current rewards while you still can.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2: Things To Finish Off Before The End Of Season 1

When one season ends and another begins in Fortnite, you’re left with a limited amount of time to get your quest content and challenges finished off. With Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 rapidly approaching, here are some things you’ll definitely want to try and tick off your to-do list before they’re gone forever.

It's your last chance to complete quests and challenges before Season 2 begins!

  • Unlock the Monarch set by collecting Level Up Tokens. The Level Up tokens are currently available at Tow Away Beach and Sunburned Shacks and can be used to unlock the Monarch set of cosmetics. Make sure to grab them now because once Season 1 ends, there’ll be no way to get your hands on the set again.
  • Try to finish off all your quests. I know, there are a lot, but keep on working for that XP and claim your quest rewards while you still can!
  • Make sure to unlock and claim all the Battle Pass rewards from Season 1. They’ll also be gone for good once Season 2 begins.
  • Try to complete your collections. Make sure you’ve visited all of the island’s rich and varied characters and check that you’ve completed them all.
  • Spend your Gold Bars; they won’t be carried over into the new season, so you may as well use them up now, while you still can. There’s also going to be a special Bargain Bin week from March 15th, during which time you can make some big savings on Exotic items and Character services.
  • Unlock Haven’s masks by collecting Fortnite Feathers. These masks will no longer be obtainable after the end of Season 1.
  • Take in the sights – as always with a new Season, a new map may be heading into Fortnite, so now’s the time to catch up on any of the island’s sights and location hotspots you may not have explored yet. They might not be there after the 19th!
  • Pet the Klombos. No one knows if they’re going to be coming through to Season 2 or not, so make sure you take time to check in with them before the current season wraps up.
  • Don’t forget about fishing – there’s a collection screen dedicated to Fortnite’s 28 fish. Have you managed to collect them all yet?

Will Season 1 Go Out With A Live Event?

As things stand, it doesn’t seem likely that Season 1 will be getting a live event to end things on. This may come as a disappointment to some who were expecting a special farewell to this season. There’s time yet for Epic to throw a surprise in, of course. However, as things stand it appears that there were no event files in the final update for Season 1, so fans shouldn’t be expecting one to happen any time soon.

Things We Might See In Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2

With all that in mind, and looking to what’s to come in just over a week’s time, here are some things we might see in the brand new season of Fortnite. Bear in mind that a lot of these suggestions are speculative at this point and that as always, leaks and rumours should be taken with a pinch of salt.

What changes will we see on the island in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2?

A new map: a new season often brings with it a new map. At the moment, the narrative of Fortnite sees the island being drilled through by the IO (Imagined Order), causing multiple earthquakes around its famous hotspots. This could lead to a whole structural shift of the map, especially if the IO does manage to break through the surface and wage war on the island.

A new theme: It’s still not yet known what theme Season 2 of Fortnite Chapter 3 will adopt, but many online leaks have suggested that it could have a Star Wars theme. Obviously, it’s hard to know for certain at this point, but given Fortnite’s recent crossover content with Marvel, could it be turning itself over to the Dark Side? Popular Fortnite dataminer Shiina claims that it won’t be, but we’ll just have to wait and see. Watch this space to find out more when the new season drops on or around March 20th.

Master Assassin Ezio Auditore is coming to Fortnite!

New skins and crossovers: New theme-based skins will certainly be incoming but one interesting confirmed crossover that’s set to be introduced in Chapter 2 is an Assassin’s Creed bundle. It features an Ezio Auditore de Firenze skin, with a built-in Pickaxe and Emote. Ezio is one of the most well-loved Assassin’s Creed heroes, so players are bound to be keen to get their hands on this set. Ubisoft confirmed earlier this month that the bundle would be available in players’ in-game lockers from March 10th if they purchased either Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla or the game’s latest expansion, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn Of Ragnarök from the Epic Games Store. However, the outfit will also be available to buy in the Fortnite Item Shop later this month, although it’s not yet known how much it’ll cost.

Another reported skin that could be coming to Fortnite Season 3, Chapter 2 is that of Robert Pattinson’s ‘The Batman’. This is purely rumoured at this point and originated from a tweet by prominent Batman lore expert KnightWing. This would be another cool crossover for fans of the newest Batman, so watch this space.

Epic are working on a Tank vehicle 👀 codenamed "TreadVehicle", no other info about this vehicle but i ASSUME it's a drivable driller because it also has those tread wheels.. pic.twitter.com/UWgGNYqyRN

New vehicles: Will this season of Fortnite see tanks introduced? Fortnite dataminer HYPEX certainly seems to think so. According to the popular source of leaks, Epic have included a vehicle with the codename ‘TreadVehicle’ in their game files. This vehicle is rumoured to look like a tank with a drill attachment, although no further information is yet known about it.

The return of Jetpacks: Although they’ve been absent from the game for the last four years, jetpacks are rumoured to be making a return for Chapter 2. HYPEX claims that Epic are currently creating a ‘jetpacks chest‘, meaning that they could be coming back onto the island soon. Whether or not you’ll actually be able to equip a pack for flight-based combat remains to be seen.
