We’re getting close to the end of Vibin’ season now, so there’s not quite as much to shout about as the game gears up for Chapter 3, Season 4.

Still, there’s some flame based fun to be had in the Fire With Fire week. Meanwhile, there’s also some welcome updates to purchasing, so let’s dive right in.

Fortnite v21.51 – Fire with Fire Week

Fire with Fire Week runs from today, September 7 at 9am ET (that’s 2pm UK time) until September 13 at 9am ET (2pm UK time).

During this time, the Primal Flame Bow and the Dragon’s Breath Shotgun will both be unvaulted and start appearing on the island on the ground, and in chests. The similarly-fire-themed Firefly Jars will also spawn at a much higher rate than usual.

Chug Cannons will also start appearing on the ground more, as well as their existing availability from vendors. Finally, there’s also some fire-themed quests for you to undertake for that precious Battle Pass XP.

The above changes will not be included in the Competitive Playlists.

Fortnite v21.51 – purchase, cancellation and social settings

The next few updates aren’t in the main game itself, but rather are more focused on the stuff around it. For example, you’ll now be able to hold to purchase items from the shop. Hopefully, this’ll make accidental purchases a thing of the past.

In a similar vein, Epic’s also extending the purchase cancellation window for purchases made with V-Bucks. You’ll now have until you equip any item to change your mind, or 24 hours – whichever is first.

There’s also a couple of changes in saving payment information, making it a yes/no choice rather than a checkbox. Epic’s also updated its policy for chargebacks, you can read about those here.

Friends-list wise, the update also adds some additional privacy options for chat, and parental controls have been made more prominent in the main Lobby menu. Finally, there’s also new, tougher default settings for players under 18 and Epic can now ban you from social features to address bad behaviour.

The Fortnite v21.51 update should be available the next time you launch the game.
