Luigi’s Mansion 3 is set to release this Thursday, a perfect day for a comedic spooky game! While many will be donning their costumes of cats and ghosts, others will be picking up this Switch title. After the roundup of reviews, it seems, even more, might be motivated to spend their Hallows Eve with Mario’s cowardly brother.

Where’s Mario? Who cares?

Over the years we’ve become pretty accustomed to seeing Mario star of Nintendo on many title covers. Meanwhile, Luigi quietly pines to be the center of attention now and again. Well, it looks as though our green plumber has made a good one! The reviews are in and they are pretty positive across the board.

To have a nice little picture of what videogame sites thought about it check out this tweet from Stealth:

As you can see the average range is between eight and ten. A solid outing from our green friend that hasn’t had a solo title in the series in six years. Scores are great, but a lot of what the sites are saying puts in perspective the appeal of hunting ghosts as Luigi. IGN has a must share quote in their 8.3 review of Luigi’s Mansion 3.“It’s absolutely the best Ghostbusters game ever made – it just happens to star Mario’s scaredy-cat brother rather than Peter Venkman and Ray Stantz.”

Luigi’s Mansion 3 a Frightfully Good Time

Overall I’ve struggled to find bad reviews of the title. Similar positivity across the board is how gorgeous Luigi’s Mansion is, combined with the absolute charm it carries. Nintendo Life described is as, “ the entire game from head to toe is absolutely dripping with charm and polish.” Nintendo has always been known for making their games run and look near perfect before releasing into the world, this one is no exception.

In addition to how it looks, the universal feeling seems to be that it’s a good time. Adding worthwhile new gameplay and mechanics and giving us a multiplayer mode none us knew we wanted. It seems Luigi’s Mansion 3 gives a good excuse to stay in this Halloween. Or you know, just an excuse to buy a new Switch game. Only one question left when you see ghosts, who you gonna call?! Luuuuuiiiigiiiiiiii.

Luigi’s Mansion releases October 31st, 2019 for Nintendo Switch.
